Have you missed a monthly preventative treatment for your dog? Your pet could be at risk of contracting heart worm. Heart worm is transmitted by mosquitoes and can be deadly if left untreated. Proheart SR12 is an injection that prevents this disease and last 1 year in dogs over 9 months of age. A heart worm test can be performed in the clinic and takes 10 minutes to process. Usually costing $70, this test is free when processing with a Proheart SR12 injection!
Proheart SR12 injections can be given to puppies from 12 weeks of age and is efficacious against heartworm infection acquired within the 3 months prior to administration. This will give them at least 6 months protection against heartworm disease and kill any heartworm infection acquired since birth. This administration can be timed to coincide with vaccinations given at 12 weeks of age.
